Volunteers & Interns

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers and interns are an essential part of Port Discovery Children’s Museum. Whether you’re working directly with visitors in one of our hands-on exhibits or working behind the scenes on an upcoming event, there are various ways to contribute to Port Discovery’s mission. The Museum offers volunteer and intern opportunities for individuals, as well as can accommodate corporate and community groups looking for a team-building event and rewarding experience.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Guest Services
Work directly with visitors as they explore the Museum’s interactive exhibit and program areas.
Behind-the-Scenes
Work on projects in one of the Museum departments: education, programs, exhibits, administration, or development.
Facilities
Assist with installation and de-installation of exhibitions, repairs, maintenance, or cleaning of the Museum.
Special Events
Assist with the Museum’s many evening and daytime events. We annually host many exciting fundraisers, fairs, and workshops, all of which greatly benefit from more hands and help with preparations and day-if activities.
